How did you find your shoot for Drama ( maybe describe how you felt )? !
Great, the direction was something along the lines of ‘you’re going to kill your boyfriend, right after you’ve had sex’ … fun times… form an orderly queue guys. !!!
What does the word Drama mean to you? !!
It’s representation and insight. We all have a story, thats what our life is, but it’s an actor’s job to reveal another person’s tale, another way of measuring life. It’s fleeting, but hopefully it’s real enough to transport you into the emotional state of another…and in turn increase one’s own empathy, understanding and joy by providing a connection. !!!
Who (past, present, future) inspires you? !
My source of inspiration can change daily, for example Owen Jones might have written an informative and rallying article one day, and the next I hear a joke and it ignites a tone of thought, i find satire to be an inspirational medium, it reminds you to take a second glance at the world around. Sometimes, i’ll listen to a piece of music, and the words take on a new meaning, or friends offer insight in a way i hadn’t expected. I think inspiration is everywhere, you just have to stop and think. !!!
If you had an Ideal role, what would it be? !
Every person is flawed, vulnerable, and layered. We all have barriers and defence mechanisms, for me its just as compelling to watch the subtlety of Robin Wright’s performance in House of Cards as it is to watch the passionate despair of Penelope Cruz in Vicky Christina Barcelona. So, anything with depth and internal struggle, because who knows how it might manifest… !!
What are you working on at the moment? !
I’m just about to film the second series of Dominion in Cape Town. Bring on the sun shine. !!!
What would you like to work on? !
A Cohen Brothers, Scorsese, David Fincher or Clint Eastwood film. !!! Who would be your Ideal Co- Star ! Meryl Streep and Leornado Dicaprio, Penelope Cruz, JK Simmons, so many… i’ve named well known people, but honestly, anyone i can learn from. Anthony Head has been pretty fantastic on Dominion, as was Harry Lloyd in Game of Thrones. !!!
What is your Favorite film of all time. !
No Country for Old Men and Vertigo. !!!
If there were a soundtrack to your life, what would it be? !
White noise and the occasional scream. !!
Which location ( country ) would you like to film in and why? !
Japan, I’d love to visit Yakushima, have a little stroll about in the forest there, before finding temples, and flower gardens, hiking up Fuji and rewarding myself with my body weight in sushi. I imagine Japan to be breath taking and calming. I’d also like to go back to Venice, i went as a child, but i want to appreciate it as an adult, I think it probably has more to offer me now my greatest desire is no longer ice-cream. !!
If you were an animal what would you be? !
A highly evolved ape with wings. I guess, that’s just a flying human to evolutionists
